Working principle and structural features of piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic sensors;
When a voltage is applied to a piezoelectric ceramic, the piezoelectric ceramic is mechanically deformed in response to the voltage and frequency. On the other hand, when the piezoelectric ceramic is vibrated, an electrical charge is generated. Using this principle, when an electrical signal is applied to a vibrator consisting of two piezoelectric ceramics or a piezoelectric ceramic and a metal sheet, called a dual piezoelectric wafer element, ultrasonic waves are emitted due to bending vibration. Conversely, when ultrasonic vibration is applied to the dual piezoelectric wafer element, an electrical signal is generated.
